About Dan
Some stories begin at a desk. Others begin out in the world.
Dan Hooper is a retired U.S. Navy veteran and All-Ages fantasy author whose years of travel have taken him through different countries, cultures, landscapes—and more than a few adventures.
Those experiences helped shape his interest in stories about people from very different worlds learning to understand one another.
Before turning his attention to fiction, Dan worked with animation and visual storytelling. He still approaches writing much the same way: seeing where the characters stand, how they move, when they react, and where the imaginary camera should be.
